Once you discover and explore the Treasure Island with us, you'll regard Maunakea as your good friend even though you've probably never met her in person. She's the first inhabitant of the island and the most beloved deer. It was her 2.5 x 3 cm ultramarine coat which gave the island its official colour. She's even depicted on local stamps. Maunakea decorated her coat with the national cornflower blossom, papaya leaves and a hand-made blue stone. Her most favourite place on the island is a blue faille ribbon which became the national emblem and the coat of arms of the island.
